Qianwen App Launches the "Spring Festival Offensive" to celebrate the Lunar New Year, aiming to enhance user engagement and provide special features and activities during the festive season.
Information Times Report (Reporter Pan Jingwen): On February 2nd, Qianwen App announced a 3 billion yuan investment to launch the “Spring Festival Hosting Plan,” offering free meals and entertainment for the entire nation during the Spring Festival. Alibaba’s ecosystem services such as Taobao Flash Sale, Fliggy, Damai, Hema, Tmall Supermarket, and Alipay will also join Qianwen’s “Spring Festival Offensive.”
It is reported that this 3 billion yuan Spring Festival Hosting Plan by Qianwen is the largest investment in Alibaba’s history of Spring Festival activities and also the highest in this year’s major AI battles among big tech companies.
According to the official WeChat account of Qianwen App, the “Qianwen Spring Festival Hosting Plan” will go live on February 6, emphasizing “Eat, Drink, Play, and Have Fun with Continuous Freebies,” along with large cash red envelopes, though the official has not yet disclosed the specific activity formats.
On January 15, Qianwen App announced it had integrated Alibaba ecosystem scenarios such as Taobao Flash Sale, Alipay, Taobao, Fliggy, and Gaode, testing AI shopping features. An insider from Qianwen App revealed, “The release half a month ago was actually in preparation for the Spring Festival offensive. Most AI assistants on the market are still in the chat stage, but Qianwen hopes to integrate into people’s real-life consumption during this year’s Spring Festival.”
Netizens have noticed that when checking movie tickets, they can now purchase tickets directly on the main chat page of Qianwen App. An internal source from Qianwen App disclosed that the AI movie ticket purchasing feature is currently in closed beta testing and will be fully launched soon.
Industry experts speculate that Qianwen App may continue its “capable of handling tasks” approach, launching features such as AI purchasing for New Year goods, milk tea and coffee, movie tickets, flight tickets, hotels, and attraction tickets, all potentially offered with direct free giveaways through hosting events.
