The direction adjustment of Base is worth paying attention to. It is understood that although Base has not yet launched a native token, its actions are already quite clear — since last year, the focus has gradually shifted from social wallets to on-chain trading hubs. What does this mean? In simple terms, it aims to become the gateway for all assets to trade, creating demand and liquidity for various on-chain assets through this position, thereby attracting users and capital to settle. Is this strategy feasible? At least from the perspective of ecosystem layout, the ambition is not small. Once the identity is successfully transformed, it will be a significant boost to the growth momentum of the entire Base ecosystem.

This move is indeed aggressive, shifting from social wallets to trading hubs... It's all about controlling the traffic entrance. Whoever controls the trading has the right to speak. The key is whether they can truly retain users; otherwise, it's all in vain.

nah the MEV extraction potential here is what actually matters... social wallet pivot was never sustainable anyway, they're chasing asymmetric returns through optimal routing now. if the liquidity pools consolidate like i think they will, this could unlock some gnarly inefficiency vectors. though tbh the execution risk is still massive

To be honest, I’m optimistic about this move with Base. Switching from social wallets to a trading hub—it's clearly aiming to lock in the traffic entrance and, by the way, harvest some rewards—smart.

I think this move by Base is good; the role of the trading hub is much clearer than that of the social wallet.

Alright, I get the idea behind this wave of Base. Switching from social wallets to the trading hub, basically aiming to secure a traffic entry point. But without a native token, how can we build community consensus? That's a problem... I'll jump on board as soon as the token is launched.
