The SUN project launches a Chinese brand upgrade plan, now seeking community input for a new name idea.

The naming must meet three core criteria: First, it should have broad recognition and resonate within mainstream culture; second, it should reflect the project's technical attributes and ecological positioning; third, it should embody the spirit of blockchain and the inclusivity of on-chain governance.

Interesting ideas worth exploring include: drawing on the symbolic meaning of sunlight, combined with mythological figures from traditional culture—such as Yao Ling (the god of light in ancient texts), Jin Wu (the embodiment of the sun), and others. These names naturally carry connotations of light and energy, aligning closely with the open nature of the DeFi ecosystem, while also preserving the visual identity genes of the SUN project.

Community members are welcome to participate in the discussion, with the final decision handed over to token holders for voting—this is a vivid embodiment of decentralized governance in brand evolution.

According to data, the conversion rate of brand naming to ecosystem awareness is approximately in the 23-31% range. The cultural resonance of Jinwu and Yaoling indeed warrants in-depth analysis. It can be approached from three dimensions: First, from a semiotic perspective, the visual anchoring of the sun myth can reduce the learning curve for new users; second, at the smart contract ecosystem level, Chinese naming may enhance the TVL growth expectations in the Asian region; third, a risk warning — over-reliance on cultural symbolism may weaken the credibility of the technical attributes. It is recommended to run a model test before voting. --- How to put it, decentralized voting sounds great, but historical data shows that voter participation among token holders is usually only about 8-12%, and those with real influence are mainly the top whales. --- The name Jinwu is more memorable than Yaoling, but the key is how to implement subsequent promotion, as API documentation and market materials all need to be changed, which is not a low cost. --- It is worth noting that such brand upgrades are often self-rescue operations under TVL pressure. Based on on-chain data, whether the new name can effectively boost community enthusiasm remains uncertain.

The naming idea of Jinwu is okay, but it depends on how the voting rights are allocated—how much voting power can whales have? That's the key to whether the decision-making can truly be decentralized.

I think the name Jinwu is pretty good, but whether it can really rise depends on new funding and exchange support.

The name Jinwu is quite brilliant, combining traditional cultural flavor with the representation of DeFi's openness. It's much better than those stiff English transliterations. Just worried that when the voting time comes, it will turn into a big show.
