In 2026, AI agency commercial acceleration, with several key releases this week revealing industry directions.

On Monday, Google launched the UCP protocol, with the core idea of allowing AI agents to fully take over the e-commerce decision-making process—ranging from product selection and price comparison to final transaction. Users only need to express their needs, and everything else is handled autonomously by AI. This logic, when applied to the on-chain world, has considerable potential.

On Tuesday, Anthropic's Claude Cowork took a more aggressive approach. Simply put, it grants Claude permission to access a specific folder on your computer, enabling it to work like a colleague—reading files, modifying files, and even creating new files from scratch. This is no longer just an assistant tool but a true collaborative partner.

Both releases point to the same underlying logic: AI is no longer just a responder but an intelligent agent capable of acting on behalf of users. Whether it's automating purchasing decisions on the consumer side or file collaboration on the work side, the boundaries of human-computer interaction are being redefined. This trend is already reflected in the Web3 ecosystem, where the potential for on-chain automation and intelligent trading continues to expand.

I'm really a bit panicked about AI taking over shopping decisions... Will our wallets also have to be handed over to AI to decide?

AI agents... They're really coming. Google and Claude are rolling out these features one after another. It seems like next year we'll have to learn how to negotiate with robots.

Hmm... Can Claude modify my files? We'll only know if it's reliable once it actually runs.

Alright, now I really have to be cautious. Will AI directly spend my money? Or should I let it help me make money first? Haha

AI is starting to take our jobs. Can Claude edit my documents? So I can just relax and do nothing in the future, haha.

Damn, can Claude directly modify my files? This is outrageous, I need to quickly lock down the permissions.

Google and Anthropic's moves are indeed aggressive, but to be honest, I'm more concerned about who will control the market once this logic is on-chain. Will AI take full control of purchase decisions? Sounds great, but the automated trading systems on the chain have been played out by the big players long ago, and in the end, it's still the retail investors getting cut. The technical aspect is fine, but risk control is the real core.
