Last year, I invested 120,000 yuan, and now I only have 6 coins left, with a paper loss of 60,000 yuan. After more than a year of tinkering, I still hold ETH, CAKE, DOGE, UNI, WLD, and CHZ.

With the global tournament season approaching, I’m pondering an idea: should I significantly adjust my current holdings and concentrate my chips on CHZ? After all, event hotspots often drive the performance of related ecosystems.

However, this decision is indeed a bit uncertain. On one hand, concentrating holdings means risk is also concentrated; on the other hand, diversification hasn't been able to reverse the downturn of the past year. It feels like being forced to choose between two difficult options.

What do you all think? Has anyone experienced a similar rebalancing dilemma and can share their thoughts?

Losing half of your holdings this year is really tough, but all in on CHZ—don't even think about it. Focusing all your bets on one coin—if CHZ doesn't rise, you'll just end up losing everything. Diversification hasn't saved you either; maybe it's the coin's problem, not the strategy's. Instead of adjusting your positions, it's better to think about how to control risk. Tossing around strategies for another year might just be a waste.

Oh no, isn't this just a replay of 2017 for me, haha. All-in single coin? Bro, are you trying to gamble for a turnaround or just tired of losing so fast? But honestly, the CHZ event theme this time does have some substance. But let me tell you, back then I staked my entire fortune on Zcash, and the result... never mind, I won't bring it up. Going all-in and then losing it all. Diversification doesn't work, and concentration is even more deadly. The real problem isn't adjusting positions; it's the lack of the courage to bottom fish. How about we change our approach? Use some ETH and UNI to arbitrage Aave, with an annualized return of at least 30%, and slowly reinvest...

I think you're overthinking this time. The event hotspots sound good, but this kind of rotation carries extremely high risk. After losing so much, going all-in on a single coin feels a bit like gambling. Diversification doesn't help, and concentration is dangerous. The problem might not be with the position allocation. Tokens like CHZ, which are based on themes, are uncertain in reliability—don't get blinded by the hype. Better to stop the bleeding first, then carefully research before making any moves.

Lost 60,000 but still dare to go all in on CHZ? That's the gambler's mentality, buddy. --- Diversification won't save you, and concentration won't either. The problem isn't really about position allocation. --- Hot topics in the market? Bro, you've been using this line of reasoning since last year. And the result? --- Instead of obsessing over CHZ, it's better to first understand why you always operate in reverse. --- Honestly, adjusting your portfolio now is just to try to recover losses, but the market won't give you opportunities just because you're anxious. --- I suggest stop-loss on two coins first, don't put all your eggs in one basket. --- CHZ can rise, but it's not guaranteed. Don't place all your hopes on hot topics.

Still pondering concentrated bets after a 50% drop in a year? Man, isn't that just asking for death? When chasing the rise of CHZ, don't forget... event hotspots are like fleeting flowers. Diversification can't save you, and concentration is hard to guarantee. Honestly, you just lack a clear exit strategy. Why not cut losses on a few zeroed-out small coins first, and then focus on the remaining ETH? The season coming doesn't mean the coin price will rise. I thought the same last time, haha. If you're really unsure, don't go all in. Cutting losses teaches you lessons.

120,000 drops to 60,000 and you're still thinking about going all-in on CHZ... Brother, this is just a gambler's mentality. Diversification hasn't saved you, and concentration won't either; the key issue is that you don't have an exit plan at all. CHZ does have hot spots, but hot spots ≠ continuous rise; it's often just a momentary gas war. Rather than adjusting your portfolio, it's better to first calculate how much drawdown you can withstand. Are you already pondering these things late at night again... It's time to sleep. Concentration makes it easier to get trapped; I suggest you stay calm for two weeks before making any moves. Instead of going all-in, it's better to dollar-cost average, although no one really can stick to DCA. Perform an on-chain analysis to see if CHZ's activity truly is increasing; don't just listen to hot spots. Honestly, losing so much in a year suggests that your original logic for choosing coins might be flawed. Hot spots during the tournament season are short-term funds; with your size, you can't hold the volatility. The best strategy at this point might be to do nothing and let time repair your account.
