Not everything lives on chain. Sometimes what matters most isn't enforced by code—it's the vibe you get from actually talking to the team, watching how they communicate, reading between the lines. The way someone carries themselves tells you things that audit reports can't. Social contracts are more real than people think. Your instinct matters. Your ability to assess people matters. In a space built on trust, knowing who you're dealing with is everything.

Exactly right, that's why I never just look at the white paper and audit reports. Going directly to the team's chat records on Telegram is the real deal.

That's right, the notion that "code is law" has long needed reevaluation; some things truly cannot transcend human nature.

You're right, no matter how perfect the code audit is, it can't save people's malicious intentions.

To be honest, on-chain data can be deceptive, but personality is the hardest to fake. Audit reports can only verify the code, but cannot confirm whether the founders will run away after half a year. This point indeed needs clarification — the so-called "decentralized trust" ultimately still relies on trusting people, not machines.

Honestly, that's why I don't trust those who only look at whitepapers. I've seen too many projects with perfect audit reports that end up running away.

That's a brilliant point. On-chain data can't deceive people, but people can. Some project teams' rhetoric definitely needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Listening to the team is more important than looking at the code, and that's so true.

That's right, on-chain data can be deceiving, but you can't fool people's integrity. How does it feel to chat with the team, how do they respond to questions, is their attitude perfunctory... these things are more valuable than any audit report. I've experienced this myself—seeing impressive numbers but then the project disappears. Trust your intuition, really.

It feels much more reliable than just looking at the audit report; you can really spot the clues.
