Do traditional financial institutions want to directly use blockchain? The first hurdle is the technical barrier, and the second is compliance risk. Dusk Network aims to truly become the financial infrastructure for these institutions, and the key lies in building a "traditional world interface"—this is not just a simple technical API, but a complete solution integrating legal, operational, and technical aspects.
How to do it? Dusk's approach is divided into three parts:
**Technical Middleware**: The core is to "package" blockchain capabilities into financial services. What do institutions need? An API suite is paramount—comprehensive features, detailed documentation, and stable operation. Financial institutions can skip running nodes and directly perform core operations such as compliant asset issuance, privacy transactions, balance inquiries (with authorization), and regulatory data export through APIs. The API is designed to meet financial IT security standards and operational logic, ensuring practical usability.
**Compliance Plugins and SDKs** are also crucial. Common compliance logic modules like KYC/AML processes, investor verification, and transaction monitoring are modularized and packaged into development toolkits. The institution's development team essentially builds with blocks—installing these compliance modules into their systems for immediate use, greatly boosting efficiency.
**Fiat On/Off Ramps** must also be well-established. Through collaborations with electronic money institutions like DuskPay and Quantoz, providing standardized euro (and potentially later USD) exchange and settlement APIs, enabling institutional clients to directly purchase on-chain assets with fiat currency, ensuring seamless integration. This is the final mile connecting traditional finance to blockchain.
