Just realized today that some major exchanges actually filter out certain token tickers from their platforms 😭 Never thought about it before, but apparently there's quite a bit of gatekeeping happening on what can and can't be listed or displayed.

Isn't this quite normal? Exchanges are inherently centralized entities.

The exchange's ticker filtering mechanism is essentially liquidity isolation, and I need to carefully calculate the arbitrage opportunities behind it.

Exchanges engage in insider dealings, small coins get stuck, and this is why you need to do your own research... The path to rebirth is always so bumpy.

I've known for a long time that exchanges just want to monopolize the discourse power. No matter how good small coins are, it's useless.

ngl this hits different when you realize exchanges aren't neutral marketplaces... they're literally curating what you're allowed to see. classic gatekeeping dressed up as "compliance" 💀

It depends on whether the coin actually has issues or if it's just pure censorship.
