I used to be a passive receiver in the crypto world, always following what project teams said, with no chance for retail investors to voice opinions. It wasn't until I deeply participated in Walrus's community governance that I truly felt what decentralization is all about.

Last month, the community voted on the staking reward distribution plan. Not only did I cast my vote, but I also submitted a suggestion for optimizing small file storage. To my surprise, the project team not only responded but also explicitly stated that they would adopt this plan in the next version update. At that moment, I realized this is not just a gimmick of governance, but real power being handed over.

What's even more interesting is that Walrus's community reserve funds are directly flowing into ecosystem development. Recently, several dApps have integrated Walrus's storage services, and the ecosystem expansion is visible to the naked eye. I have now become an active member of the community, monitoring project updates every day. Holding WAL not only yields rewards but also allows genuine participation in project decisions—being treated as a "little owner" truly offers a new investment experience.
