Acurast Network's decentralized computing network continues to expand, and the latest data demonstrates that its "mobile phone as computing power" concept is accelerating its implementation.
Network scale has significantly increased:
The number of mobile phones connected has jumped from 148,785 to 167,337+, an increase of nearly 13%. This means more devices are contributing computing power, further strengthening the network's resistance to censorship.
Deployment of tasks has doubled: from 86,421 to 328,878+, indicating strong developer demand for platform applications. Whether for data processing or edge computing scenarios, they are accelerating onto the chain.
On-chain transaction activity has also reached new heights: from 490M to 580M+, reflecting increased interaction frequency and value flow within the ecosystem.
In simple terms, the processing resources of hundreds of millions of smartphones are being activated. By aggregating this idle computing power through a distributed network, Acurast is building a computing infrastructure that is difficult to control centrally. This may be a new way for the Web3 world to address cloud computing monopolies.

Uh, these percentage increases sound pretty good, but honestly, can idle smartphone computing power really make money?

ngl the mobile compute angle is kinda wild... but heard this story before, you know? seen projects pump on "idle resources" narratives then poof. that 4x task growth tho... either devs actually building or copium is different breed this cycle. gonna watch this one carefully, not doing leverage round two lol

Mobile mining is back? This time it's renamed "Decentralized Computing."
Does anyone really run tasks on their phone 24/7? What about the battery?
Numbers look impressive, but I just want to know how much actual profit there can be.

Mobile mining is trying to fool me again. Can it really be used this time?
