The Fermi hard fork of BNB Smart Chain has officially launched ✅
After the upgrade, network performance has significantly improved — block generation time has been compressed to about 0.45 seconds, and the rapid deterministic mechanism has been further strengthened. Additionally, multiple parameter optimizations, feature iterations, and underlying issue fixes have been implemented. As on-chain activity scales up, the overall network response speed has also increased considerably.
This upgrade wouldn't have been possible without the timely support of validator nodes, node operators, and developers. A big thank you to all of you.
Mainnet nodes should now be running version v1.6.4. If you're interested in the upgrade details, you can take a closer look at the specific changes.

0.45 seconds? That's really fast. Hopefully, the gas fees can also come down a bit.

0.45 seconds? Now I can finally sell at a speed that keeps up with the network. My previous reaction time almost made me vomit blood.

0.45 seconds? Selling? This speed has indeed improved. Finally, waiting for this upgrade wasn't in vain.

0.45 seconds? Wow, such speed! Transaction confirmations are lightning fast, no more worries about lagging, right?

Compressing in 0.45 seconds feels great, but how do we ensure the health factor after increasing TPS? Will this parameter tuning set the stage for systemic risks?

0.45 seconds? Now you don't have to wait forever for transactions, finally not so laggy anymore.

0.45 seconds? Not bad, now the MEV bot will have to work overtime.
