Exactly right, the itch to trade is more deadly than losing money. I’ve been tormented by this myself—staying out of the market for two weeks, but then couldn’t resist making random moves, and ended up losing money. If your mindset isn’t right, no matter how much money you have, it’s all useless.

honestly, the "idle capital = wasted opportunity" cope is peak retail behavior. watching people fomo into sideways chop then wonder why their bags got liquidated... it's almost predictable at this point. discipline isn't boring, it's just not dopamine-inducing enough for most.
