"On-chain part-time stock investors" whale cuts losses and closes short positions on mainstream cryptocurrencies, with holdings having reduced by over $40 million in total.

On January 14, according to HyperInsight monitoring, in the past hour, the “On-chain Part-time Stockholder” bearish whale has reduced its ETH, BTC, and SOL short positions with 20x leverage by 20 times, decreasing the combined holdings by approximately $3.5 million. As of press time, the positions are still being closed, and compared to last week, the total holdings have decreased from $45.6 million to $14.5 million, with the BTC short position fully closed. Meanwhile, this address is still adding to its on-chain gold (PAXG) and XRP short positions with 5x leverage, and currently, it has become the largest short seller of PAXG assets. The main holdings are: PAXG (on-chain gold) short position: approximately $13.2 million, average price $4,525, unrealized loss about $320,000; XRP short position: approximately $11 million, average price $2.088, unrealized loss about $330,000; ETH short position: approximately $7.82 million, average price $3,182, unrealized loss about $350,000. Besides cryptocurrencies, this address has recently established 18 stock short positions on Hyperliquid, mainly concentrated in individual stocks such as ORCL (Oracle), PLTR (Palantir), and AMZN (Amazon). The total stock position on-chain is approximately $4 million. The total holdings of this address account are about $50 million.
