🇮🇷 REPORT FROM TRM LABS REVEALS THAT THE IRANIAN REVOLUTIONARY GUARD CORPS (IRGC) HAS MOVED ABOUT 1 BILLION USD IN CRYPTOCURRENCY THROUGH TWO REGISTERED EXCHANGES IN THE UK, ZEDCEX AND ZEDXION, DURING THE PERIOD 2023–2025
🔹 Most transactions use USDT on the Tron blockchain, thanks to low costs and high liquidity, enabling the IRGC to move funds across borders despite Western sanctions
🔹 On-chain analysis shows that transactions related to IRGC account for 56% of the total volume on both exchanges throughout the entire period, reaching up to 87% in 2024 alone
🔹 IRGC's cash flow surged from approximately 24 million USD in 2023 to 619 million USD in 2024, then decreased to about 410 million USD in 2025, indicating that money transfer channels have been disrupted or diverted to other channels after increased surveillance and tightening
🔹 Tether states that they have a strict policy against terrorist financing and have frozen numerous wallets involved after being identified by authorities
