Speaking of the last trade, looking back now, it’s quite a bittersweet memory. I bought in for 400 yuan, and walked away with 100 yuan profit—at first glance, not bad, but the whole process actually had many issues.
Initially, my motivation was simply dissatisfaction—repeated failures in snatching airdrops, and whenever I saw a coin with a name that looked pleasing, I would impulsively buy without thinking. I didn’t do any research at all, purely relying on intuition. This is a common pitfall in the crypto world: impulsive and blind entry.
Fortunately, I didn’t let my impulsiveness completely consume me. The moment I bought in, I immediately set a take-profit point for myself. Honestly, this move saved me. Not only did I lock in profits, but the outcome was often harsh. Many people fall into this trap—either they are greedy and hold on tightly, waiting for double returns, only to get crushed; or they panic at the slightest fluctuation and sell at the lowest point.
Besides impulsiveness and greed, there are many other traps in the crypto space. Blindly following KOLs’ signals, chasing air coins with no real application, turning a blind eye to regulatory risks… these are all easy ways to suffer big losses. This experience taught me one thing: trading requires calmness. You must not be led by emotions, nor follow others’ rhythm blindly. Even if you buy impulsively, you should have a complete exit plan. Only then can you survive long enough in the trap-filled crypto world.
