After joining a certain Web3 project's community, I truly understood what it means to have a "warm ecosystem."
What initially attracted me was the airdrop campaign before the mainnet launch last year. The official revealed that over 60% of the tokens would be redistributed to the community through airdrops and subsidies. I completed a few simple tasks out of curiosity—sharing announcements, joining Discord, filling out a survey. Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations at the time, but I was surprised to actually receive 200 tokens, which was worth about $70 at the current price. What surprised me even more was that the community admin patiently answered all my newbie questions about staking in the group chat, without any attitude, which left a very good first impression of the project.
What truly changed my perspective was an ecosystem vote in the second quarter of this year. The community initiated a proposal discussion on "whether to introduce art RWA assets on-chain." As a token holder, I also had voting rights. My holdings weren’t large at the time, but each vote was taken seriously during the tallying process, and ultimately, the proposal passed with 85% support. After the vote, the management team shared the specific follow-up plans in the community, making the entire process transparent. At that moment, I realized I wasn’t just an observer but a genuine participant in ecosystem co-creation.
The mutual help atmosphere in the community also left a deep impression on me. Last month, I made a mistake during a staking operation, and community members proactively offered assistance to troubleshoot the issue. This kind of help, driven not by profit but purely by community recognition, made me feel that this ecosystem truly treats users like family.
I believe that how far a project can go ultimately depends on community participation and cohesion. WAL has achieved this through a high proportion of airdrop rewards, transparent governance mechanisms, and sincere community operations.
