Matrixdock partners with BitGo and Brink’s to introduce institutional-grade custody system for gold token XAUm
Deep Tide TechFlow News, January 8th, Matrixport’s RWA platform Matrixdock announced a partnership with digital asset infrastructure provider BitGo, with global precious metals service provider Brink’s responsible for physical precious metal storage and security, introducing institutional-level custody capabilities for gold tokens XAUm. According to RWA.xyz data, XAUm is currently the third-largest tokenized gold product worldwide by assets under management (AUM).
In this collaboration, BitGo provides digital asset custody infrastructure and compliance support, Matrixdock builds the asset tokenization system and on-chain transparency mechanisms, and Brink’s handles vault storage and security for physical precious metals. The three parties jointly create a tokenized gold security framework covering physical gold custody, digital asset custody, and on-chain verification.
At the custody level, institutional clients can hold XAUm through BitGo Trust Company Inc. (a regulated qualified custodian) and manage it within a trust structure and secure wallet system. Access, transfer, and operational permissions for digital gold are managed through multi-signature and policy control mechanisms to meet institutional-grade security and compliance requirements.
