“AI advice” feels safe because it comes out sounding like it fits everyone.
That’s the trick.
The model is tuned for the middle: the answer that won’t get the average person burned in the average situation.
But nobody asks for advice from the middle.
They ask from the edge:
- job offer vs visa vs family
- lawsuit / divorce / custody
- one shot at a relationship repair
- health call where “probably fine” means definitely rekt
So it serves you something like:
“In most cases, take the higher-paying job. You can always move family later.”
Usually true.
Also the exact sentence that turns a reversible choice into a one-way road.
Because it’s not asking what you can afford to lose.
It’s handing you what generally works.
And you won’t notice the mismatch while you read it.
You notice it when you try to reverse it.
