#CryptoMarketMildlyRebounds 4 Billion USD Management Company Shares Latest Predictions on Bitcoin, Solana, and Ethereum!
Rob Hadick, partner at Dragonfly, a company focused on cryptocurrency investments, shared important insights on the current state of cryptocurrencies, predictions for 2026, and emerging technologies during CNBC's "Squawk Box" program.
Hadick emphasized focusing on long-term trends rather than short-term price fluctuations.
Hadick criticized Bitcoin's performance this year, advising to "look at it from a broader perspective." He mentioned that Bitcoin's price before the 2024 election has increased by 26% compared to previous levels, doubling in value over the past two years with a 100% growth, and pointed out that this rise can be compared to, or even surpass, traditional indices like the Nasdaq.
Hadick predicts 2026 will be a "strong and constructive" year for the crypto ecosystem. This optimistic outlook is driven by better monetary policies and the increasing global acceptance of asset tokenization. Hadick cited data from McKinsey indicating that currently, 3% of cross-border payments are settled with stablecoins, and he forecasts this figure will increase tenfold in a short period.
One of the most notable parts of the interview was about prediction markets. Hadick noted that trading volume on platforms like PolyMarket has grown from $50 million per month at the start of 2024 to approximately $4 billion now. He believes these markets are not limited to politics or sports but will find applications in many fields, such as insurance companies hedging weather risks, with huge potential, possibly reaching the scale of traditional trading giants (ICE).
Regarding the competition between Ethereum and Solana, Hadick also shared his views, believing both ecosystems can survive and serve different use cases. He pointed out that Ethereum mainly focuses on "locking economic value" (TVL) and DeFi, while Solana is optimized for low-cost, high-throughput transactions.
Hadick also mentioned that technological innovation never stops, and he introduced a new blockchain project called Monad, invested in by Dragonfly, dubbed the "Solana killer."
