U.S. Custodial Trust Clearing Company officially joins Canton Network super validation node to promote the implementation of government bond tokenization

【Crypto World】Canton Foundation Welcomes Major Partnership — The US Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has officially become a super validation node of the Canton Network through the CIP-0083 proposal vote.

What does this mean? DTCC will not only serve as a technical role as a super validation node but also participate deeply in ecosystem governance as co-chair, while taking on the strategic mission of promoting the on-chain transformation of the US capital markets.

Specifically, DTCC will launch a pilot in a controlled production environment: directly minting some US Treasury securities onto the Canton Network. DTC participants gain unprecedented flexibility — they can freely switch between traditional centralized bookkeeping and emerging tokenized forms for selected assets. Importantly, during the transition, CUSIP codes, investor protection mechanisms, and asset ownership registration all remain consistent, ensuring a zero-risk transition.

This is not the first time the Canton Network has collided with traditional financial institutions. Previously, DTCC had selected the Canton Network as a tokenization partner. The upgrade of the super validation node role marks the transition of this collaboration from exploration to implementation. The on-chain integration of real assets and the deep fusion of traditional markets with blockchain infrastructure are turning these once-aspirational ideas into reality.

Wow, is DTCC really going on the blockchain? National bonds are being tokenized, this is a big move. Is the US seriously getting into blockchain or are they really short on cash...

Damn, DTCC is on the blockchain? Wall Street is really about to get involved now. Sovereign debt tokenization is no longer just a slogan.

Wow, DTCC has entered the scene. This time, tokenizing government bonds is really no longer just talk on paper. Traditional financial giants are stepping in. Is this a signal that Canton is about to take off... With DTCC doing this, it feels like the digital transformation of the US capital market has become a done deal. Quite interesting. By the way, when will the co-chair of this governance alliance see some real action? Hopefully not just PPT hype again. If government bond tokenization really becomes a reality, what does it mean for the crypto world? Has anyone thought about that? Canton's move this time is probably the closest Web3 has come to traditional finance. Feeling a bit too excited... Wait, what benefits does this bring to ordinary retail investors? DTCC is here, and finally, crypto has gained some "legitimacy." Strange achievement unlocked.
