Ondo Finance launches cross-chain bridge: 100+ stock tokens and ETF tokens for seamless transfer
【Crypto World】Ondo Finance recently launched a dedicated cross-chain bridge for on-chain securities, which has attracted considerable attention in the DeFi community.
This cross-chain bridge is now officially operational on Ethereum and BNB Chain. In simple terms, you can flexibly transfer over 100 stock tokens and ETF tokens between these two mainstream public chains, and trading counterparties don’t need to worry about exchange rates — everything is executed at a 1:1 asset parity.
The technical architecture is also quite interesting. Ondo chose to collaborate with LayerZero to build it, which you all know has a strong position in the cross-chain space. Security is ensured by a decentralized verification node network (DVN) including Canary Protocol, guaranteeing the reliability of cross-chain interactions. The real application deployment is facilitated through Stargate.
From a functional perspective, this solution has several selling points. First, stock tokens and ETF tokens can be seamlessly transferred across chains; second, developers and application projects on Ethereum and BNB Chain can more easily integrate Ondo’s assets; third, it paves the way for future expansion to other EVM-compatible chains. In other words, Ondo is building a more open and liquid on-chain securities ecosystem.
The 1:1 parity is pretty good, avoiding the risk of slippage.
2. LayerZero stepping in, the reliability is definitely top-notch. Let's see if any issues pop up later.
3. Over 100 tokens, sounds like a lot, but how many people actually use them?
4. Ondo's eagerness to grab a piece of the RWA cake is written all over their face.
5. But is cross-chain auditing reliable? That's the real key.
With LayerZero support, Ondo didn't slack off this time, and the sense of security is immediately boosted.
Over 100 types of tokens, it feels like there are suddenly many more things to play with.
Ondo has really figured out RWA (Real World Assets), but it still depends on the actual user volume.
If this run remains stable, on-chain traditional assets will really have a chance.
The combination of LayerZero+Ondo still has some potential; let's wait and see how the security audit turns out.
Stock tokens really lack liquidity on the chain; if they can make it work, that would be interesting.
Wait, how much will this bridge cost? Won't it eat up my transaction fees?
Launching 100+ tokens at once? That seems a bit too ambitious. Is it reliable? That's a question mark.
LayerZero coming into play is definitely reliable, but safety will always be the top priority for this kind of thing.
Ondo is really serious about RWA this time, unlike some projects that just shout slogans.
Supporting over 100 ETF tokens at once? How long will it take to achieve full compatibility? Haha.
Cross-chain bridges are quite risky, everyone, don't put too much on the line.
Feels like playing a big game, the liquidity from Ethereum to BNB really needs to be...
