Solana Founder Toly Explains SKR Token: A New Vision of Vertical Control and Dual Cryptographic Protection

【Crypto World】Solana co-founder Toly recently shared his thoughts on the upcoming launch of the SKR token for Solana Mobile. He candidly stated that the current tech stack “still has a long way to go,” but from a logical perspective, the design concept of SKR is quite interesting—holders can gain vertical control over key aspects such as phone hardware, user experience, and even revenue sharing.

Specifically, the value capture mechanism of SKR integrates dual protections through cryptography and Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). In simple terms, these two layers of technological shields ensure that token holders can truly control their assets and rights.

According to the previously announced plan, Solana Mobile is set to officially launch SKR in January 2026, with 30% of the tokens distributed via airdrop to the community. This timeline indicates a preparation period, and it seems the Solana team is quite cautious about this release.

Hmm... Vertical control sounds good, but saying "there's still a long way to go" is really just a polite way to tell us not to expect too much haha Wait, it’s not launching until January 2026? I have to live until then... A 30% airdrop to the community sounds great, but the key is how it’s distributed—don’t tell me it’s that same old "the more engaged you are, the more you get" trick Double layer protection sounds impressive, but can it really defend against on-chain bullies... we’ll have to see how it actually performs Hope Solana won’t be delayed again this time, I’m a bit worried

Ha, Toly said there's still a long way to go. That sounds a bit vague—does he dare to say directly that the technology isn't ready yet? Speaking of vertical control, that's an interesting point. It's much more reliable than those projects that just cut leeks. Let's see if they can really stabilize the TEE system by 2026. SKR airdrop 30% to the community? This tactic is getting more and more routine, but at least it's more friendly than pure fundraising. The move in the Solana ecosystem is good, just don't mess it up again, everyone. 30% airdrop, to be honest—it's really about how much actually ends up in the pockets. TEE dual protection sounds very hardcore, but do users really need such complexity? If a phone can run it stably, that's already pretty good. Ultimately, it still depends on the performance after launch. No matter how impressive the paper work is, it’s useless.

Cryptographic double protection sounds fancy, but honestly, it all depends on how it is implemented after launch in 2026. Don't let it become just a promise on paper again.

Hey, the vertical control approach sounds good, but Toly himself says there's still a long way to go... Let's wait and see. SKR airdrop 30% to the community? Hopefully this time it won't be those old rats taking the first bite again. Cryptography combined with TEE double protection is indeed fancy, but I'm worried it will just turn into another "beautiful promise" once launched. 2026 is still a long way off, who knows if there will be another explosion by then.

Hmm... It'll be January next year again. At this point, hyping up airdrops is definitely a tactic to lock in the community early. 30% sounds very generous, but how much you actually get still depends on the situation.
