Strategy, a Bitcoin treasury company, has been making headlines by purchasing over 10,000 BTC for two consecutive weeks.

Strategy filed an 8-K report with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC) disclosing the additional Bitcoin purchases. Between the 8th and 14th, they bought 16,455 BTC at an average price of $92,098, totaling approximately $980.3 million.

With this purchase, Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings increased to a total of 671,268 BTC. The current valuation is around $60 billion, with an average purchase price of $74,972. This accounts for over 3% of the total Bitcoin supply, and based on the current market price, an unrealized gain of approximately $9.7 billion is recorded.

The funds for this purchase were raised from the sale of MSTR common stock, STRK, STRD, and STRF preferred stock. Recently, Strategy sold approximately 4,789,664 shares of MSTR for about $882 million, and also sold $600,000, $82.2 million, and $18 million worth of STRK, STRD, and STRF preferred stocks, respectively.

Meanwhile, Strategy urged MSCI(MSCI) to withdraw its proposal to exclude companies holding more than 50% of digital assets from the global equity index. It warned that Bitcoin holding companies could be repeatedly excluded from major indices due to Bitcoin price fluctuations. MSCI’s final decision is expected to be announced on January 15, 2026.
