Peter Brandt's Bearish Bitcoin Forecast: Parabolic Breakdown Could Trigger 80% Decline to $25,000
Source: CryptoNewsNet Original Title: Peter Brandt warned, “Bitcoin will no longer rise!” He also revealed his new price prediction! Original Link: Peter Brandt, a prominent figure in the market with 50 years of experience, has offered a pessimistic prediction for Bitcoin (BTC).
In his latest analysis, Brandt stated that Bitcoin’s long-standing parabolic upward trend has been broken and warned investors of a major drop.
The Broken Parabola Theory
According to Brandt, the typical growth parabola in Bitcoin has been broken, potentially paving the way for a sharp decline. The analyst noted that Bitcoin’s recent cycle has been weaker compared to previous bull periods, with the price now moving with decreasing momentum.
Diminishing Returns Across Cycles
Brandt highlighted a concerning trend: Bitcoin returns have decreased in each bull market cycle:
This pattern shows that new cycles carry increasingly limited upside potential.
Recent Performance and Price Target
Following the halving event in April 2024, prices doubled by October, reaching a record high of $126,000. However, since the BTC price fell below $90,000 from this all-time high, it has broken the parabolic curve that signaled large price increases in every previous cycle.
Brandt predicts that Bitcoin has now entered a bearish phase. Historically, every time Bitcoin breaks the parabolic curve, it experiences drops of over 80%. Based on this pattern, the analyst predicts the price could fall to approximately $25,240—representing 20% of the all-time high.
