Recently paying attention to a project called $Irys , I find it quite interesting.
It addresses a practical issue in AI development: AI currently requires大量 data, but most of this data is stored in traditional databases or storage systems, making access very cumbersome. It's like locking all books in the basement of a library; you need to fill out a bunch of application forms to use them.
Irys offers a "programmable data" solution. In simple terms:
Data is not only stored on-chain but can also be called and computed directly on the chain by AI.
Compared to traditional storage solutions like (Filecoin), its data liquidity is stronger.
It has designed a triple fee destruction mechanism(burning tokens for storage/execution/computation), which may be more beneficial for token value in the long run.
The mainnet has just gone live, but the testnet already has 1 billion transaction records. Interestingly, the actual institutional-level data migration has just begun, and the market may not have fully realized its potential yet.
For AI projects, this kind of infrastructure that allows direct on-chain data calls is indeed a necessity. However, like any new technology, it needs a validation process, so it’s worth keeping an eye on.
It is now available on major exchanges (Binance, Coinbase, OKX, etc.). If interested, you can follow the official Chinese Twitter @cn_irys_xyz for in-depth research.
