BBVA Deepens Collaboration with OpenAI to Accelerate AI Transformation in Banking

According to sources from CryptoChain, BBVA has reached a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with OpenAI to promote ChatGPT Enterprise to 120,000 employees, expanding the coverage by 10 times. The collaboration aims to enhance customer experience, optimize internal operations, and promote the deep application of AI in banking services through AI technology. BBVA plans to utilize OpenAI technology to develop new AI solutions to improve customer interactions, increase employee productivity, and optimize risk analysis processes, as well as redesign internal workflows such as software development. Previously, BBVA successfully piloted the deployment of ChatGPT among employees, helping staff save nearly three hours weekly on routine tasks. The partnership also includes dedicated training programs and structured tool integration models to ensure the safe and consistent application of AI tools across all business areas in 25 countries globally. Additionally, BBVA plans to provide direct customer services via ChatGPT to accelerate its transition to an AI-native bank. BBVA Chairman Carlos Torres Vila stated that this collaboration will bring a smarter, more personalized banking experience to customers. Earlier reports indicate that Disney will make a $1 billion equity investment in OpenAI.
