Securitize appoints former PayPal executive as General Counsel, prepares for SPAC listing
[Securitize Appoints Former PayPal Executive as General Counsel, Prepares for SPAC Listing] Asset tokenization company Securitize announced the appointment of former PayPal Head of Digital Assets Legal, Jerome Roche, as General Counsel, in preparation for a Nasdaq listing through a Cantor Fitzgerald-backed SPAC.
The merger is expected to give Securitize a $1.25 billion valuation and will trade under the ticker SECZ. Securitize plans to tokenize its own equity and is the issuer of BlackRock’s on-chain Treasury fund BUIDL. Roche stated that his career focus is “at the intersection of regulatory compliance and technological innovation.”
