Recently, I’ve been paying attention to a pretty interesting decentralized project—Swarm Network. The problem it aims to solve is actually quite practical: the traditional cloud computing model is centralized, data is monopolized by a few tech giants, privacy breaches happen all the time, and costs are sky-high. What Swarm wants to do is use blockchain and P2P protocols to create an open platform where everyone can participate.

To be fair, this project isn’t entirely new. As early as 2015, the Ethereum Foundation had people working on this concept. Back then, Viktor Tron led the development of a decentralized storage and communication protocol, which could be considered Swarm’s predecessor. However, the version we’re seeing now only officially spun off and began independent development in 2023. It’s somewhat similar to projects like IPFS and Filecoin, but Swarm focuses more on real-time data streams and integration with AI.

By December 2025, Swarm remains quite popular in the Web3 space. After all, who wouldn’t want a distributed solution that both protects privacy and reduces costs? Developers, users, and service providers can all find their place in this ecosystem. Of course, whether this kind of decentralized network can really take off depends on how the technology is implemented and how the community is managed.

The distributed storage field is highly competitive, but Swarm’s differentiated approach—especially its exploration of real-time data processing and AI integration—could be a breakthrough. That said, Web3 projects ultimately have to address real needs; telling a good story isn’t enough.

Wait, regarding the integration of real-time data streams with AI, how are the risk thresholds set on the smart contract side? Without a good risk control mechanism, liquidation risk could be triggered at any moment.

Swarm sounds good but feels like another vaporware; let's wait until it's actually usable. IPFS has been around for so long and still barely anyone uses it. Why would Swarm be any different? The AI + storage combo sounds like a recipe for disaster; integrating the technology isn’t that simple. If you really want distributed deployment, the incentive mechanism is harder than the technology itself. Has Swarm figured this part out? It’s another year, another new project: last year it was Filecoin, now it’s Swarm—what’s next year? To put it bluntly, it all depends on whether the token can be traded; everything else is just a story. A project supported by the early Ethereum Foundation? That’s even more reason to be cautious; there are too many precedents.

Bought the dip on Swarm, guys. This really is the last chance. The concept of AI + distributed storage has to break before it can rise. I’ve gone all in. Wait, why hasn’t Filecoin taken off yet... whatever, not going to think about it, doubling down on faith, holding strong. People have been working on this since 2015, what does that mean? It means this is a long-term conviction project. It’s definitely not too late for me to get in now, a breakout is coming soon. The shorts are talking about nothing but hype again... what bullshit. Tech adoption is just a matter of time. You guys keep shorting, I’ll wait to break even. Swarm’s differentiated approach really is something this time, way stronger than that pile of Filecoin projects. I’m just waiting for the explosion in 2026.
