Recently, I’ve been paying attention to a pretty interesting project in the prediction sector.
Traditional prediction markets mostly use the AMM model, but this project has moved the central limit order book directly on-chain. A fully on-chain CLOB mechanism—honestly, that’s rare to see. After all, most on-chain applications are still making do with automated market makers, and not many have managed to implement a professional exchange-style order book model that actually works.
Their technical approach definitely takes a different path. The real test will be whether they can maintain sufficient liquidity and efficient matching. Prediction markets inherently require precise pricing, and in theory, the order book model is indeed more suitable. But gas costs and on-chain performance will be a real challenge.

CLOB moving on-chain? Sounds awesome, but I'm just worried the gas fees will wipe people out haha

CLOB moving on-chain? This guy is really bold, just worried that gas fees will drive users away.

Moving this CLOB onto the blockchain sounds like a scene from the Book of Songs about the rise and fall of great nations—perfect in theory, but the real test is whether it can withstand the knife of gas fees... I was fooled by this kind of "innovative mechanism" in the early days too; that's how digital collectibles died.

If this CLOB system can really run smoothly, it would be amazing, but the gas costs are truly brutal.

CLOB on-chain sounds great, but won't the gas fees directly drive users away?

It's really hard to get a CLOB running on-chain; the gas costs are unbearable.
