I don't know when it started, but some projects announce that they’ll be listed on a certain compliant platform even before their tokens are released or TGE is even in sight.

SENT is following this playbook, and WET is pulling the same trick.

Has this kind of premature “promising” only become popular recently? Or has it always been an undercurrent in the industry, just now brought out into the open?

To be honest, the listing effect of that compliant platform isn’t what it used to be anymore... So how much hype can these pre-listing announcements really bring to a project now? The market seems to be getting more and more numb to it.

I'm already tired of this routine. The token isn't even out yet, and they're already hyping up the listing. It's just ridiculous.

According to research, this "token listing announcement" tactic is actually a typical manifestation of market signal failure. From a technical perspective, when a project announces an exchange listing before TGE, it is essentially cashing in on expectations in advance. Data shows that, in 2023, among projects with such advance listing announcements, less than 15% actually achieved gains of over 50% after TGE, while most ended up in chaos. It is worth noting that the endorsement effect of compliant platforms is indeed diminishing, but this is not the fault of the platforms—it is due to the declining quality of the projects themselves. It is recommended that everyone analyze calmly. Operations like SENT and WET are less about innovation and more about the project teams running out of other marketing methods.

This trick isn't new at all, it's been played secretly for a while, now they're just doing it openly. What's the point of announcing new listings? The hype is long gone, even compliant platforms can't save it. The way SENT and WET are handling this is honestly a bit hopeless. They're hyping up listings when the TGE isn't even in sight, really treating retail investors like fools. Still believe listing on a certain platform will pump the price? That's a thing of the past.

Announcing a listing before the token even shows up? This trick is getting old. They really treat a compliant platform like a gold standard, but who believes that anymore? SENT and WET did the same thing, I'm numb to it now.

They're already scheduling exchange listings before we've even seen the token—do they really take us for fools?

Announcing a token listing before the token even exists—what a slick move. This is a classic case of selling dreams, but the market is already tired of this trick.
