Ever heard someone say they just want to build cool stuff without corporate BS getting in the way? That's basically the dream.
One tech founder once put it this way: his whole mission was creating products by understanding the raw physics behind them—zero interest in answering to someone whose biggest skill is an MBA.
Honestly? That mindset hits different in crypto. Think about it: decentralized networks were literally built by people who rejected traditional financial gatekeepers. No VCs breathing down your neck. No quarterly earnings calls. Just code, consensus mechanisms, and a vision.
The irony is that this engineering-first approach is what made blockchain possible in the first place. Satoshi didn't need permission. Vitalik didn't pitch to suits. They just... built.
Makes you wonder how many world-changing protocols never happened because someone had to justify them to a boardroom first.

That's why those early Bitcoin folks were so badass—they didn't give VCs any face at all.

This is the purest thing about crypto—the engineers call the shots, and that's no joke.

Profound. Satoshi’s generation were pure flowers, unbent by any winds of capital.
Project teams nowadays are still telling stories to LPs, haha.
That’s why those early protocols have survived until now—because they weren’t shackled by quarterly reports.
Really, without the board’s endless nagging, the chain can truly grow freely.

To be honest, this is why I’m optimistic about those pure builders on-chain… They don’t have to report to VC bosses, nor be bossed around by MBAs all day—they just get things done, plain and simple.

Sounds nice, but the reality is that most projects with potential end up being taken over by VC capital, and those that truly stick to an engineering-first approach are pitifully few.

This is really the most attractive aspect of Web3—you don't have to argue with a bunch of suit-and-tie people.
