On the evening of December 5, there was a pretty big piece of news—a new draft regulation was released for public comment by the regulators, and this time they mean business. From corporate governance and information disclosure to investor protection, a whole bunch of "hard indicators" have been set for listed companies. The focus is on regulating market value management and cash dividends, as well as strictly investigating financial fraud. In plain terms, it means companies need to perform well, and shareholders should see tangible benefits.

With this policy shift, it’s worth paying more attention to A-share companies with low valuations and high dividends. High-dividend SOEs cover a wide range of sectors—banks, coal, and construction are all included. For central SOEs like ICBC and China Shenhua, dividends may become even more generous going forward.

Looking at the data: over the past year, the top dividend yields include COSCO Shipping Holdings, China Shenhua, Shaanxi Coal and Chemical, Gree Electric, and the four major banks are also on the list. This year, it’s even more interesting to look at those with strong dividends but modest price gains—Guanghui Energy's dividend yield has broken 12%, and consumer leaders like Gree and Yunnan Baiyao are also on the list, covering energy, consumer, and financial sectors.

That said, the logic of traditional markets and crypto markets is quite different. These high-dividend stocks are suitable for more stable allocations, but remember, any investment carries risks, so weigh your options carefully.

Ah, it's the same old A-shares thing again. High dividends sound nice, but do you really expect me to leave crypto and go back to the traditional stock market? No way, man.

Oh no, another new rule to fleece retail investors? They make it sound nice, but in reality, they just want everyone to obediently allocate to those old state-owned enterprises... Dividends are indeed tempting, but I still trust the crypto logic more—at least there aren’t so many hidden tricks.

honestly the whole "proof of dividend" thing reads like tokenomics for boomers... but i get it, there's something almost elegant about how state-owned enterprises become this new aesthetic for stability-seeking capital. it's like the inverse of our permissionless ethos

Traditional stock markets playing this dividend game really don’t have that crypto vibe, the yields are getting crushed...

Isn’t this just traditional finance learning from crypto’s playbook? High interest bait, same old tricks. Seriously? State-owned enterprises are this generous with dividends now? Didn’t see any of this happening last year. 12% dividend yield? That’s nothing compared to some of the L2 ecosystem tokens I’m holding, haha. Sounds nice, but you still have to watch out for financial pitfalls. I’ve seen all the tricks in the A-share market. This wave of policies offers limited benefits to retail investors; the big money probably cashed out long ago. Stable allocation? I’m here to make quick money, not to save for retirement. Banks like ICBC are like iron gates—probably just small gains. I’d rather pick some small-cap, high-growth stocks. Feels like the stricter the regulations, the more boring the A-share market gets. On-chain DEX trading feels way freer. High dividend sounds impressive, but how much do you actually get after taxes? Bet they didn’t factor that in.

Dividend yield over 12%? That's unimaginable in crypto. The traditional market is so stable it’s almost boring, haha.

Here comes another new trick to fleece retail investors. That high-dividend approach doesn't appeal to someone like me who's been burned in the crypto world... But I have to admit, this policy is indeed more reliable than the promises made by some projects.
