Uniswap's former head of policy joins the Blockchain Association, bringing a new driving force to the advancement of the US crypto regulatory framework
[Chain News] The Blockchain Association has recently recruited Lindsay Fraser, the former Head of Policy at Uniswap Labs, to lead the association’s entire policy advancement efforts.
While at Uniswap, Fraser was responsible for handling policy-related issues just as US regulators were still figuring out how to oversee DeFi. Now, having moved to the Blockchain Association, her new role serves 146 member companies, and the scope of her work has expanded. However, she says her hands-on experience in DeFi should come in handy.
In an interview, Fraser revealed that the association will focus on several major issues in the coming period: keeping track of the Senate’s ongoing debates over the market structure bill, monitoring the implementation of the stablecoin bill set earlier this year, and planning ahead for the direction of cryptocurrency tax policy. After all, the Blockchain Association ranks among the prominent lobbying organizations in Washington, and these topics are unavoidable.

Haha, Fraser made a good move here. Upgrading from lobbying for a single project to lobbying for the entire ecosystem has instantly amplified his leverage tenfold.

Ha, Fraser made a smart move with this one... from Uniswap going solo against regulators, to now speaking on behalf of 146 companies, this is all about "banding together for warmth."

Fraser played this move well, going from Uniswap fighting alone to the association coordinating 146 companies. This is really about forming a team to wrestle with US regulators... Whether the stablecoin bill can actually be implemented remains to be seen.

Now Uniswap's old foxes are about to pull some new tricks. I think it’s doable—handling matters for 146 enterprises is much more complicated than just farming airdrops.

She went straight from Uniswap to parachuting into the Blockchain Association—this lady really knows her stuff. Her DeFi experience is coming in handy here.
