Recently, I remembered a story about what true long-termism really means.

How many platforms have you seen that hide behind the scenes to issue announcements whenever something goes wrong? But some people are different. Every time the market panics, every round of FUD hits, she’s always at the front—not just issuing statements, but actually serving as frontline customer support.

Yes, customer support. Sounds like the most basic position, right? In her eyes, this is the highest level of management.

She replies to every user complaint, patiently explains every detail, and uses sincerity to gradually calm anxious emotions.

Many people trust a leading exchange not just because of its size. It’s because, in moments of greatest anxiety over their assets, they know someone is truly listening to them.

This kind of warmth is something AI can’t learn.

This is what a real leader looks like—not hiding in the office enjoying the air conditioning, but going to the front lines to listen to users' complaints firsthand. To put it simply, they’re willing to engage with you even in the toughest times. That kind of trust just skyrockets.

This is what real trust looks like; it’s not built through marketing. Character is revealed in times of crisis—many major platforms still had responsive customer service right up until the moment they ran away.

This is the real deal, not the kind who talks about long-termism but turns around and exploits newcomers. Even when things were at their worst, they still had the guts to show up and respond—not everyone has that kind of courage.

Damn, seriously, this is exactly why I trust an exchange.

That's the difference, really. I've seen too many project teams that just cash out and run, while the ones that actually embed themselves in the community and answer questions every day tend to last longer. Simply put, it's about treating users as people, not just as data.
