[Chain News] The Korean exchange Upbit will resume deposit and withdrawal functions at 5 PM today, involving 33 tokens across 21 chains.

Here’s the key point: due to previous wallet system maintenance, all old deposit addresses have been cleared. You must generate a new address to use; otherwise, your deposit might get stuck and not arrive.

Many tokens are included in this update, such as ELF, ALGO, FIL, HBAR, NEO, VET, and WAXP. If you use Upbit, remember to update your deposit address. Especially if you’ve saved your address in another wallet or on a different exchange, do NOT use the old address for transfers, or you might lose your tokens.

In short, all addresses need to be refreshed—make sure you confirm your new address before making any transactions, even if it feels inconvenient. System-level updates like this aren’t common, but you still need to be careful since it’s your own assets at stake.

ngl this address refresh thing is giving major path dependency vibes—like, historically precedent suggests when exchanges do these sweeping wallet migrations, there's always some subset of users who'll miss the memo and lose funds. arguably a sub-optimal incentive structure for communicating critical updates tbh
