Tom Lee: Ethereum is seriously undervalued, and 2025 may usher in a "1971 moment"

[Crypto World] Fundstrat’s Tom Lee has made another big move.

He bluntly stated that Ethereum, currently around $3,175, is severely undervalued, and a major breakout rally is brewing. Even more sensationally, Lee called 2025 Ethereum’s “1971 moment”—just like when the US dollar replaced gold and rewrote the rules. The reason? ETH is surging ahead in the RWA (Real World Asset) tokenization track, with traditional assets like stocks and real estate needing it to get on-chain.

The numbers are even more explosive: Lee predicts Bitcoin is heading toward $250,000. If the ETH/BTC ratio returns to its eight-year average, Ethereum could soar to $12,000.

The most aggressive scenario? If ETH’s market cap reaches a quarter of BTC’s, the price would shoot straight to $62,000. In Lee’s own words: “This is the future of finance.”

Do you dare to believe it? The market will give the answer.

BTC0.41%

1. Tom Lee is bragging again. I've never seen any of his predictions come true. 2. The RWA logic is indeed interesting, but $62,000 ETH? Come on, wake up everyone. 3. The "1971 moment" analogy is wild. Even when the dollar left gold, it wasn't this outrageous. 4. Damn, $12,000? Give me a break, that number is pure nonsense. 5. Tom Lee again. Every year he says it's undervalued, but where's the breakout? 6. Tokenizing traditional assets on ETH does spark imagination, but the price predictions... yeah, right. 7. I half believe in $250,000 BTC, but ETH multiplying several times is a bit much. 8. The ratio returning to the average is interesting, but the probability is just too shaky. 9. This guy has never been anything but aggressive in his comments—I'm used to it by now. 10. I've been hearing "the future of finance" for five years, and it still hasn't arrived.

$62,000? Is Tom Lee joking? That sounds a bit ridiculous.

$12,000? No way people actually believe that, right? Is Tom Lee making up stories again this time? RWA is hot, sure, but using it as the reason for this round of surges feels a bit forced. $62,000 is just ridiculous, but expecting $12,000 is a bit more realistic. I've always taken Lee's predictions with a grain of salt—if he were right every time, BTC should've hit $1 million by now. Underestimating is fair, but the "1971 moment" analogy is honestly exaggerated. If ETH hits $12,000, I'll bet $5 it doesn't happen—let's just wait and see. Is this really the future of finance? Let ETH reach a quarter of BTC first, that's already a big challenge. Tom Lee is telling stories again—are people actually buying this? Tokenization of RWA is definitely a big trend, but prices soaring to $62,000 sounds like a dream. Anyway, I don't buy his one-sided bullishness—wait till the pullback comes, then we'll see.

1. Tom Lee is dreaming again, 1971 moment? Come on, every time this guy opens his mouth it’s always about doubling. 2. I’m tired of hearing the same RWA rhetoric. It'll probably be years before anything actually lands... But 62,000 did catch my attention. 3. 250,000 BTC, 12,000 ETH, 62,000 ceiling... one after another, these numbers are definitely crafted. 4. ETH is undervalued? Depends on who’s doing the undervaluing—I’m still stuck at the top anyway. 5. All I can say is, Lee’s imagination is definitely valuable, too bad my wallet isn’t worthy. 6. The "1971 moment" in 2025, right here, and we haven’t even gotten through 2024 yet. 7. If RWA really gets on-chain, ETH definitely has a shot. If not... haha. 8. 62,000? Show me 10,000 first before you talk about that. 9. 250,000 Bitcoin, ETH doubling... this is what they call an "analyst"? I could make this stuff up too. 10. Say what you will, but this wave of promotion definitely hits the retail FOMO mindset.
