Recently, I’ve been eyeing a few altcoins and wanted to jot down my thoughts.

First, three coins that are about to be delisted: FIS, REI, and VOXEL. They’ll be officially delisted on December 17. Looking through past cases, there’s usually one last pump right before delisting—a farewell gift for the bag holders? I bought a little of each to play like a lottery ticket. FIS and VOXEL have both moved twice in the past couple of days, but REI has just been bleeding out. That actually makes me think REI might be holding back for a bigger move as the deadline approaches. After all, altcoins don’t follow the usual playbook anymore.

TAO is halving this month, and the price is just above 300 right now. Halving is still one of the strongest narratives in the crypto space, right? Even though the market is pretty sluggish at the moment, catching some hype from the halving for a rebound shouldn’t be much of a problem.

Then there’s SYRUP, that stablecoin DeFi protocol. The on-chain data has been pretty stable lately, and last week’s drop was just a belated correction—remember, it held strong during that black swan event on 10/11, so what’s this little pullback now? It’s almost bottomed out, so I’m just waiting for the rebound.
FIS-7.08%
REI-2.86%
VOXEL-10.38%
TAO2.13%

REI’s play here is indeed quite interesting—the more stable it is, the more you worry it might suddenly go crazy. The halving narrative is an old topic, but TAO really does seem a bit different this time. SYRUP was able to withstand a black swan event yet still dropped like this, which shows the bottom is indeed strong.

I'm keeping an eye on REI too. There have been quite a few cases of last-minute comebacks before they die, so it all comes down to how bold you are.

REI is really incredible; the colder it gets, the more likely it is to pump hard. No harm in taking a gamble. The TAO halving narrative is solid, but chasing the highs now still feels a bit risky. SYRUP's on-chain data is indeed stable, just worried about another black swan event—no one can say for sure. Bought 200 RMB worth of FIS as a lottery ticket, I can afford to lose it anyway, haha. Hopefully this round of corrections will really hit bottom; let's wait for the rebound, everyone.

I've seen this tactic with REI before. Right before delisting, it's actually easier to pump; taking a gamble isn't out of the question. With the market performing so poorly, can the TAO halving really save it? Seems doubtful. SYRUP's on-chain data is indeed stable, but I'm just worried about a sudden black swan event.
