Turning a few thousand yuan of principal into a million-level sum in the crypto market? Many would say this is a fantasy, but the rolling position model does provide a chance for small funds to chase high returns—of course, the risks are equally off the charts.

Here's a case I saw: a trader started with $500 (about 3,500 RMB) and rolled it into over $100,000 in just two days. Sounds unbelievable, but breaking down his operations shows that this wave of profits was built on three key decisions.

**First trade:** Used 60% of his position to go 100x long on ETH, with a position value of about $30,000. The timing was spot-on—an American official suddenly announced that the probability of the SEC approving an Ethereum ETF jumped from previous expectations to 75%. This news instantly ignited the market, and ETH surged nearly 20% in a single day. He almost captured the entire rally, boosting his account from $500 to $6,000.

**Second trade:** Riding the momentum, he used 50% of his $6,000 to go long again (still 100x leverage), catching another 3% gain. At this point, his account balance reached $15,000.

**Third trade:** He switched strategies, targeting a small-cap coin in an uptrend channel. This time he lowered the leverage (20x), opened a position with $11,000, with a position value around $70,000. This trade yielded another $80,000 in profit.

After these three trades, $500 rolled up to over $100,000.

But to be honest, this kind of approach is more like "survivor's narrative"—you only see the successful cases, not the countless people who got liquidated. High leverage + heavy positions + chasing gains repeatedly, a mistake in any step could mean going straight to zero. The market won’t always move at your pace.

To put it bluntly, it's just gambling. You just happened to get lucky and catch the right trend. Do you really think you're a trading genius?

Survivorship bias—perfectly said. You never hear from those who got liquidated.

It's another story of hindsight wisdom. I just want to know how low the probability was for that guy to get liquidated.

The story of turning 500U into 100,000 is just for listening—nine out of ten people get liquidated.

Another survivor story—reading it made me break out in a cold sweat for him. Honestly, this guy just bet on the right timing; if that SEC news had happened to someone else, they probably would have been liquidated already.

To be honest, looking at this guy's moves, it's mostly luck—just one word: gambler.
