I saw people shouting that ASTER could hit $10, $20? Honestly, I thought about it too. The tech innovation is definitely strong, the project roadmap looks solid, the team has a strong background, and the community vibe isn’t bad. But the problem is... the market isn’t something that can take off just because of fundamentals.

The hype mechanism here is actually quite interesting. Thinking back to when DYDX first launched—one of the leading decentralized derivatives platforms at the end of 2020—while the user experience wasn’t exactly smooth, after that airdrop everyone thought it was great.

I admit ASTER has its advantages; it’s fine as a short-term play every now and then. But if you’re talking about it shooting up to $10 or $5... this market really isn’t that simple.

Think about how internet giants operate. Back in the day, Alibaba aggressively acquired all kinds of platforms, hammering away at Pinduoduo and JD.com—at first they didn’t care, then they started going all out. Tencent is the same way—if a game gets hot, they copy it, and they have a full layout in music and video. Why? Moats, traffic entry points, capturing the track.

With titans battling it out, what’s the point of retail investors blindly rushing in? If you can just get a taste, that’s good enough—don’t take yourself too seriously.

No matter how strong the fundamentals are, you still have to look at the hype—that's the real truth. Retail investors have a history written in blood and tears; everyone comes in wanting to buy the bottom, but they all end up losing money. ASTER is just so-so. It's okay for short-term trading, but are you really expecting it to 10x? Wake up, man. In this cycle, picking the right side is what really matters—don’t just focus on the technicals. Even a Fed rate cut can't save trash projects; that's the reality. Blindly following the DYDX playbook is outdated. This market changes faster than flipping pages in a book. Smart people are bottom fishing other people's losses—what about you? If you can get a little soup, just be happy. Stop dreaming about $10.

the fed cutting rates always gets retail hyped but real talk, aster's fundamentals won't carry it through a bear cycle alone. seen this movie before with dydx... hype depletes faster than hashrate on a difficulty spike.
