Why are people talking zkPass now?

zkPass is a protocol based on zero-knowledge proofs and a special version of TLS (called “zkTLS”) that lets someone prove facts about private data (like identity, financial status, credentials, history) without ever revealing the underlying sensitive information.

The proof generation happens locally (on your device/browser), and only the cryptographic proof is shared, so personal data never gets exposed or stored.

That means you could verify you have a bank account above a certain balance, or prove you hold a credential or meet an age threshold, but without showing all your details.
