Breaking News: The first XRP ETF receives approval to be listed on NASDAQ this week
More in preparation
Can,ary Capital's #XRP ETF has received official approval to be listed on NASDAQ, making it the first-ever XRP ETF.
The fund was automatically approved after the issuer submitted Form 8-A to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission #Ripple SEC(. The fund will trade under the symbol $XRPC.
📈 The market responded positively, boosting XRP's price—and also helped by the potential end of the U.S. government shutdown.
Are there more XRP ETFs?
Pages DT,CC that list XRP ETFs are not approvals. This listing means that clearing and settlement processes are ready if a fund is launched, not that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has approved anything.
Here's what we know:
— Grayscale filed S-1 for the Grayscale XRP Trust in August, with amendments in October and November indicating listing mechanisms on NYSE Arca and AP.
— Franklin's S-1 includes a legal document dated November 4 related to its registration number.
— CoinShares filed an S-1 with details about spin-offs and air drops.
— Teucrium indicated an XRP product traded twice daily in its filings in April, and ProShares also updated XRP Ultra and Short materials in April, which are leveraged and likely outside the new general standards.
Remember — the real indicators are an effective S-1 form and a listing announcement naming the stock symbol and date. Until these two models appear on the site, there will be no XRP ETF trading on the exchange.
