BREAKING: Ethereum Soars 12% After ETF Approval, Market Eyes Altcoin Rally
📅 June 4, 2025
📍 Washington, D.C. | Crypto Markets Desk
In a historic move, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)has officially approved the first Ethereum Spot Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF)—a long-awaited milestone that sent ETH surging over 12%, breaking past $4,500 for the first time in over a year.
The ETF, issued by BlackRock under the ticker ETHF, is set to begin trading on the NYSE Arca tomorrow, marking a major regulatory greenlight for the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency.
“This approval signals a maturing crypto market and opens the door for broader institutional adoption,” said Linda Zhao, senior analyst at Ark Invest.
💥 Market Reaction
Ethereum (ETH) spiked from $4,030 to $4,538 within 2 hours of the announcement.
Bitcoin (BTC) also climbed 4.1% on the news, hovering around $75,900.
Altcoins like Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), and Chainlink (LINK)followed with 6–10% gains.
🏦 Institutional FOMO Kicks In
ETF approval has unlocked a floodgate of capital from traditional finance. Sources say **Vanguard, Charles Schwab, and Fidelity** are all preparing to launch their own Ethereum investment products.
“Ethereum is no longer just a tech bet—it’s a strategic asset,” said Julian Grant, head of crypto strategy at JP Morgan.
📈 On-Chain Metrics Show Momentum
Staking deposits on Ethereum hit a record 33 million ETH, as investors look to earn passive yield.
Gas fees briefly surged but remained stable thanks to Ethereum’s Layer 2 scaling upgrades.
🔮 What’s Next?
With both Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs now in play, analysts believe "Solana and XRP ETFs"may be next in line, depending on ongoing SEC legal outcomes.
🔊 Final Take
“Crypto winter is officially over. This is the institutional spring,” said Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas.
“The genie’s out of the bottle.”
📢 Stay tuned for more updates as Ethereum ETF trading goes live tomorrow at 9:30 AM EST.
