Tencent Cloud Responds to OpenClaw Billing Dispute: Installation is Free, Using Large Models Incurs Token Fees

Summary of Tencent Cloud's Response to Security Issues Related to OpenClaw and Tencent "Lobster"

Tencent Cloud addressed security concerns related to OpenClaw and Tencent "Lobster," stating that the high charges incurred by users are due to historical model invocation fees. Installing OpenClaw is free, but using large models will generate Token fees.

According to Gate News, on March 11, Tencent Cloud issued a statement in response to security issues associated with OpenClaw and Tencent "Lobster."

In response to questions about whether "OpenClaw will excessively charge users," Tencent Cloud explained that a screenshot circulating on social media shows a user incurring high charges after installing OpenClaw during a Tencent Cloud charity setup event, totaling over 200 RMB.

After investigation and verification, Tencent Cloud confirmed that this 200+ RMB was from the user's previous historical model invocation fees.

Tencent Cloud emphasized that installing OpenClaw is free, but if large models are used during operation, Token fees will be incurred. Currently, almost all Agent tools are similar in this regard. #Gate蓝龙虾重磅上线
