Kuwait: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense has announced that the armed forces had intercepted a flurry of hostile air targets that penetrated the country’s airspace in the past 24 hours.

It added that the air defense systems had tracked eight hostile drones, of which seven had been engaged and vaporized, with one drone slamming into an area beyond the threat zone.

During a press briefing on the current incidents and latest field developments in the wake of the Iranian aggression against Kuwait, Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense Spokesperson Col. Saud Al Atwan said the Duty Force of the National Guard had tracked eight drones and shot them down in the southern part of the country as part of combined efforts and coordination among the military agencies in the country.

Al Atwan noted that the Inspection and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group of the Land Forces Engineering has handled 172 reports thus far since the start of the operations.

He emphasised that the Kuwaiti armed forces are on a swivel and constantly operate in combined coordination with various military sectors in the country.
