Xinhua News Agency, London, March 12 — The UK Maritime Trade Operations Office announced on the 12th that a cargo ship was hit by an unidentified projectile near the Strait of Hormuz, causing the vessel to catch fire.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations Office issued a statement saying the incident occurred 35 nautical miles north of Alishan, United Arab Emirates. All crew members are safe, and the details are under investigation.
