Minister of Culture and Tourism Sun Yeli stated at the press conference on the theme of people’s livelihood during the Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress on March 7 that efforts will be made to strengthen market regulation and rectify chaos in the cultural and tourism markets. In response to illegal behaviors such as unscrupulous merchants cheating customers and forcing shopping, a “zero tolerance” policy will be maintained with strict supervision. Each violation will be addressed promptly: severe penalties for those who deserve it and resolute shutdowns for those who should cease operations for rectification.
