Juniper PTX Routers at Risk, Critical Takeover Flaw Disclosed

A critical vulnerability (CVE-2026-21902, CVSS score 9.3) has been discovered in Juniper Networks’ Junos OS Evolved, affecting PTX Series routers. This flaw could grant threat actors root-level privileges and full command-and-control over devices without authentication, allowing them to manipulate and reroute traffic. Juniper has advised customers to filter access and plans to release a patch, though no active exploitation has been reported yet.
