I jumped on the AI doom narrative early, was pretty convinced about it. Then what? Time just passed. The whole doomsday angle sort of faded into the background noise of my mind. Funny how conviction works—you can hold a belief so intensely, only to find yourself forgetting you ever cared that much about it. Makes you wonder what else we're getting wrong about the next big wave of tech.

A few years ago, I also believed in this, but now it seems like I was just swept up by public opinion.

Haha, isn't this the common problem in our circle? Last year we were shouting about the end of the world, but this year we haven't mentioned it at all.

Haha, really, everyone in the group was shouting about the end times back then, but now no one mentions it anymore. Faith is just like a seasonal limited edition.
