Imagine you had a chance to ride Renaissance Technologies' Medallion Fund from 1993—those jaw-dropping returns year after year. Would you actually have the conviction to hold?

Here's the thing: what if you could've bought into Facebook at just 1.3x Peter Thiel's entry price? Sounds like an obvious yes, but most people would've paper-handed way earlier. The gap between knowing an opportunity and actually having the stomach to stay in it—that's where real wealth gets made or lost. Same psychology plays out in every bull market cycle.

Honestly, I find these post-hoc expert articles the most annoying... Anyone can say they got rich by buying FB back then, but the key question is, how many people dared to hold on until the end? I've seen too many friends sell their holdings in a panic after doubling their investment, only to regret it later. Mindset is really harder to cultivate than technical skills...

In plain terms, most people just talk a better game than they actually perform. If I really asked you to hold from the bottom on Facebook all the way to ten times without wavering? Haha, dream on.
