Have you ever thought that, when it comes to decentralization, TRON might have actually surpassed Bitcoin?
I recently came across some pretty shocking data: measured by the Nakamoto coefficient, TRON scored 14, while Bitcoin? Only 4. In other words, in terms of decentralization, TRON is actually 3.5 times that of Bitcoin.
Some of you might not be familiar with the Nakamoto coefficient—it’s a metric that measures a network’s resistance to attack and the degree of power distribution. The higher the number, the more nodes you’d need to team up to control the entire network. From this perspective, TRON’s network structure is indeed more distributed than many people imagine.
Of course, decentralization isn’t just about a single number, but this comparison does overturn a lot of people’s preconceived notions about these two chains.
